FERC Information
Colorado Interstate Gas anticipates commencing construction of its Raton 2010 Expansion Project upon receipt of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to be issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). CIG hopes to receive this authorization by October 2009, with a proposed in-service date in May 2010. To that end, CIG initiated the FERC’s pre-filing process for the Raton 2010 Expansion Project on June 24, 2008. This pre-filing process is designed to identify and address environmental, landowner, and other stakeholder issues and impacts associated with the project. The FERC assigned a docket number of PF08-25 to this application. As part of the pre-filing process, CIG conducted public outreach/scoping meetings for interested parties in Walsenburg and Avondale, Colorado.
Information on the project can be found at the FERC’s Web site at Docket No. PF08-25.
