Does El Paso promote internal advancement?

Does El Paso provide any training opportunities to help with career progression?
El Paso assists employees by investing in their career development mainly in two ways. We offer more than 100 in-house courses to help employees improve and increase their skill sets. The company’s Educational Assistance Program enables employees to pursue relevant undergraduate and graduate degrees with a generous reimbursement policy.

What is El Paso’s compensation philosophy?
The company offers a competitive Base Salary Program as well as an Incentive Compensation Program based on the performance of the company, business unit, and the individual employee. The company’s equity program is also competitive and aligns management’s interests with those of the company and its shareholders.

What is the dress code?
It’s important to be comfortable when you’re at work. Business casual attire is the standard at El Paso. Jeans and athletic shoes can be worn on Fridays in the Houston locations, and more frequently in other El Paso offices. Employees located in the field or plant locations may dress more casually due to work requirements. However, all employees must wear appropriate safety apparel.

Do you offer day care?
El Paso is pleased to provide dependent care options. First, we can help you find elder or child care through our Dependent Care Connection. And, to help pay for dependent day care, we offer a pre-tax Dependent Day Care Select Account.
 
Does El Paso subsidize parking or transportation costs?
El Paso employees have a number of options to manage parking and transportation expenses, including a pre-tax parking select account and a transportation subsidy. Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency named El Paso “One of the Best Workplaces for Commuters” because of the company’s comprehensive efforts to promote mass transit options.
