Saving Wetlands
Recently, we donated 10,000 feet of steel pipe to the southern region of Ducks Unlimited. This pipe will be used to bring fresh water into rice fields inundated by saltwater after Hurricane Rita in 2005, returning the wetlands to their original state. The United States loses more than 80,000 acres of wetland each year.
We’re happy to help stem that tide by helping Ducks Unlimited, the world’s largest wetland and waterfowl conservation organization, restore and conserve the nation’s wetlands. The organization presented its Emerald Teal award to Team El Paso, recognizing total cumulative long-term contributions of $250,000, which included El Paso's recent gift.
